An Integral Bridge for railway over the Street Lindenthahler in Leipzig was designed as 3 spans –hybrid bridge deck. The bridge has spans of 7-24-7 m. The deck is steel composite in the main span and prestressed concrete in side spans. The deck is rigidly jointed to its steel columns. The concrete section in the main span is prestressed longitudinally and transversely. The bridge serves with its form and material combination as an innovative structure technically and aesthetically. Dr. Saad was responsible for the full design of the bridge in conceptual and tender phase and in the final design phase.
