The bridge has a length of 2000 meters and a width of reach to 42 meters, accommodating two directions, each with four traffic lanes.
The purpose of the bridge is to enhance traffic flow and eliminate at-grade intersections at the junction of the Abu Sultan link with the Cairo/Ismailia Desert Road.
