SBP served as the main consultant for the proposed Sunningesund Bridge near Gothenburg, Sweden. The design included a 3-span cable-stayed bridge with a 640- meter main span and 600-meter approaches on each end. The tender proposal featured a cable-stayed bridge with a 400-meter main span and 120-meter side spans, supported by diamond-shaped pylons approximately 150 meters in height. The deck structure consists of a composite box girder for the main span and a concrete box section for the side spans, with a total width of 25 meters. Dr. Fathy
