Suspension Bridge for Pedestrian in Bayreuth

For a pedestrian bridge in Bayreuth a suspension bridge was designed. The bridge connects a shopping centre with the old town and crossing the Hohenzollerring, which is the heaviest Traffic Street in Bayreuth. The bridge length is about 52 m. The deck has a steel composite section, with a width of about 4 m in the suspended part and up to 9
Dr. Saad has carried out a full structural analysis and full design in all phases of design from concept up to workshop drawing phase according to the German Specifications. Moreover, Dr Saad was responsible for the supervision of the production of the different steel and cable elements and the erection of the bridge. A structural analysis for the different erection stages was carried out, which was the base for applied erection concept of the bridge.
